TEXTORITY ACCOUNT DELETION POLICY
Last Updated: September 30, 2026
This Account Deletion Policy explains how to request deletion of a Textority account and associated personal information, what account deletion generally does, what information may need to be retained, and how deletion interacts with Creators, purchases, subscriptions, payments, payouts, disputes, safety, legal obligations, and third-party services. It applies to textority.com, text.me, text.to, lets.talk, the Textority web platform, and related online services operated by Textority Inc. (collectively, the “Services”).
1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE
1.1 Public deletion page. This Policy is Textority’s public account-deletion notice. It explains the methods currently available to request deletion and the consequences and limitations that may apply.
1.2 Who this Policy applies to. This Policy applies to account holders, Creators, End Users, subscribers, buyers, guardians, and authorized representatives seeking deletion of a Textority account or account-associated personal information.
1.3 Account deletion is different from a privacy-data request. Deleting an account closes the account relationship and triggers deletion or deidentification of account-associated personal information subject to the exceptions described below. A person may also have a separate right to request deletion of particular personal information without closing the entire account. Those privacy requests are governed by the Textority Privacy Center / Your Privacy Choices and applicable law.
1.4 No universal deletion rule. Privacy and account-deletion rights vary by jurisdiction, user role, transaction status, and the type of information involved. Textority will apply any non-waivable deletion right and any lawful retention obligation that applies to the request.
2. RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER TEXTORITY TERMS
2.1 Privacy Policy. The Textority Privacy Policy describes the categories of personal information Textority processes, the purposes of processing, disclosures, retention approach, security statements, and privacy rights.
2.2 Privacy Center. The Textority Privacy Center / Your Privacy Choices explains how to exercise privacy rights, including deletion rights that may apply without closing an account.
2.3 Colombia notice. The Textority Colombia Privacy Notice and Authorization supplements this Policy where Colombia’s personal-data regime applies.
2.4 Terms of Service. The Terms of Service govern account closure, suspension, termination, surviving obligations, purchased access, transactions, and related matters. Creator, payment, payout, refund, subscription, dispute, and digital-content terms continue to govern their specific subject matter.
2.5 Mandatory law. Nothing in this Policy waives or restricts a deletion, consumer, payment, privacy, or other right that applicable law does not permit Textority to waive.
3. WHAT ACCOUNT DELETION MEANS
3.1 Entire account, not temporary deactivation. An approved account-deletion request is intended to close the account and remove or deidentify personal information associated with that account that Textority is not required or permitted to retain. Merely disabling, freezing, or temporarily suspending an account is not treated as completed account deletion.
3.2 Access ends. When deletion is completed, the User generally loses access to the deleted account, its settings, account-based history, Channel administration, Creator tools, and other features that require that account.
3.3 Deletion does not rewrite prior events. Account deletion does not erase the historical fact that a transaction, payment, refund, dispute, report, legal request, consent, or other event occurred when Textority is permitted or required to retain a record of that event.
3.4 No restoration guarantee. After deletion is completed, Textority does not guarantee that the account, deleted information, purchased account-based access, Creator configuration, username, Channel, or other account state can be restored.
4. HOW TO REQUEST ACCOUNT DELETION
4.1 Available methods. A User may request account deletion through an account-deletion control that Textority makes available or by contacting hello@textority.com. If using email, identify the request as an “Account Deletion Request” and send it from, or identify, the email address associated with the account when reasonably possible.
4.2 No account creation required for a request. A person is not required to create a new account in order to submit an account-deletion or privacy-deletion request.
4.3 Information to include. A request should include enough information to identify the relevant account and understand what the requester is asking Textority to delete. Textority may request additional information only when reasonably necessary for verification, scope, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or protection of another person’s information.
4.4 No fee to submit. Textority does not charge a fee merely for submitting an ordinary account-deletion request.
5. VERIFICATION AND AUTHORIZED REQUESTS
5.1 Identity verification. To prevent unauthorized deletion, Textority may take reasonable steps to verify the identity of the requester and the requester’s relationship to the account before completing deletion.
5.2 Proportionate verification. Verification may use existing account information, authenticated account access, email confirmation, transaction information, or other proportionate methods. Textority will not request unrelated sensitive information solely to make deletion difficult.
5.3 Verification information. Information collected specifically to verify a deletion request will be used for verification, security, fraud prevention, request administration, and related legal compliance, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
5.4 Guardians and representatives. A parent, legal guardian, authorized agent, personal representative, or other person may submit a request for another individual where applicable law permits and the person’s authority is reasonably verified.
5.5 Unable to verify. If Textority cannot reasonably verify a request, Textority may ask for additional information or decline to delete information when fulfilling the request could expose another person’s account or personal information. Any statutory rights remain subject to the verification standards of the applicable law.
6. ACTIVE SUBSCRIPTIONS, PURCHASES, AND PENDING MATTERS
6.1 Outstanding matters. An account may be connected to active subscriptions, recurring Creator Offerings, scheduled services, purchased Digital Content, refunds, Payment Disputes, chargebacks, Creator Balances, Payouts, taxes, verification reviews, safety matters, legal holds, or other unresolved obligations.
6.2 Deletion and cancellation are separate concepts. An account-deletion request is not a substitute for cancelling a recurring subscription where the applicable subscription is billed or administered through a separate cancellation process, Payment Provider, app store, Creator, or other third party. The applicable Subscription and Auto-Renewal Terms and transaction-specific terms govern cancellation.
6.3 No loss of mandatory rights. Account deletion does not eliminate a non-waivable refund, cancellation, payment-dispute, statutory reversal, consumer, or privacy right.
6.4 Account closure despite retained records. Where lawful and operationally appropriate, Textority may close account access while retaining only the records that must or may lawfully remain for an unresolved transaction, dispute, payout, legal, safety, accounting, fraud, or compliance purpose.
7. INFORMATION TEXTORITY GENERALLY DELETES OR DEIDENTIFIES
7.1 Account profile and settings. Subject to the retention exceptions in this Policy, Textority will delete or deidentify account profile information, account preferences, account-associated identifiers, and other account data that is no longer reasonably necessary after account deletion.
7.2 User Content under Textority control. Subject to applicable law, safety obligations, legal holds, transaction obligations, and the rights of other Users, Textority will delete or deidentify User Content associated with the deleted account that Textority controls and is not required or permitted to retain.
7.3 Public profile and Channel presentation. Textority will remove or disable the deleted account’s active public profile or Channel presentation within the scope Textority controls, subject to lawful retention and enforcement needs.
7.4 Service-provider copies. Where service providers process personal information on Textority’s behalf, Textority will take the steps required by applicable law and applicable provider arrangements to cause deletion or restriction of data within scope, subject to lawful retention by those providers.
7.5 Deidentified or aggregated information. Textority may retain information that has been lawfully deidentified or aggregated so that it is no longer personal information under applicable law, provided Textority does not attempt to reidentify it where the law prohibits reidentification.
8. INFORMATION THAT MAY BE RETAINED
8.1 Lawful retention. Textority may retain the minimum personal information reasonably necessary when continued retention is permitted or required for a legitimate purpose recognized by applicable law or the governing Textority terms.
8.2 Examples. Depending on the circumstances, retained information may include records necessary for transactions, taxes, accounting, refunds, chargebacks, Payment Disputes, Payouts, fraud prevention, account security, sanctions, verification, abuse prevention, safety reports, regulatory obligations, legal claims, legal holds, preservation requests, enforcement history, consent or acceptance records, or proof that Textority handled a privacy or deletion request.
8.3 No indefinite retention from this Policy. This Policy does not authorize Textority to retain personal information indefinitely merely because an account once existed. Retention remains subject to the Privacy Policy, applicable Textority retention policies, applicable law, and the continuing purpose for which the record is kept.
8.4 Backups and archives. If personal information exists in backup, archival, disaster-recovery, or comparable systems, it may not be removed at the same time as information in active systems. Any such residual information remains subject to applicable protections and deletion or deidentification requirements.
8.5 Legal holds and preservation. Information subject to a valid legal hold, preservation obligation, investigation, or legally binding request may be retained for the period the applicable obligation requires. After the obligation ends, the information remains subject to ordinary retention and deletion rules.
9. USERNAMES, HANDLES, AND TEXTORITY URLS
9.1 Permission ends. Deleting an account ends the User’s permission to use account-associated usernames, handles, Channel addresses, and personalized Textority URLs.
9.2 No ownership right. Account deletion does not create ownership of, or a permanent right to recover, a username, handle, URL, domain, namespace, or other Textority identifier.
9.3 Reservation or anti-abuse retention. Textority may retain, reserve, block, reclaim, or later reassign an identifier as permitted by the Terms of Service, including where reasonably necessary to address impersonation, fraud, trademark issues, security, abuse, platform integrity, or another legitimate reason.
10. MESSAGES, SHARED CONTENT, AND INFORMATION HELD BY OTHERS
10.1 Copies received by other Users. Deleting an account does not necessarily erase information that another User lawfully received or independently retains, such as a message, transaction record, support correspondence, or content copy, when that information is outside Textority’s direct control or must remain for the other User’s lawful purposes.
10.2 Textority-controlled copies. Textority will apply this Policy to copies within Textority’s control and will delete, deidentify, restrict, or retain them according to the applicable purpose, legal requirement, and user rights.
10.3 Creator-controlled information. A Creator may independently control personal information obtained through a Creator relationship. Deleting a Textority account does not automatically delete information that a Creator independently retains under its own legal responsibility. A person may need to contact the Creator directly regarding that separately controlled information.
10.4 Third-party services. Information independently held by a Payment Provider, external website, external application, bank, app store, or other third party is governed by that party’s own deletion, retention, and privacy practices.
11. PURCHASED CONTENT, CREATOR SERVICES, AND ACCESS
11.1 Loss of account-based access. Deleting an account may end access to Digital Content, memberships, subscriptions, courses, communities, bookings, transaction history, or other Creator Offerings that require the deleted account.
11.2 Completed purchases. Account deletion does not retroactively change the terms of a completed purchase or eliminate a buyer’s mandatory consumer rights. Delivery, access, refunds, cancellations, and disputes remain governed by the applicable Transaction Terms and Textority commerce policies.
11.3 Pending services. If a scheduled or ongoing Creator Service remains pending, Textority may require the User to resolve or address the service, cancellation, or transaction consequences before or in connection with completing deletion, to the extent reasonably necessary and lawful.
12. CREATOR ACCOUNTS, TEAM MEMBERS, AND BUSINESS RECORDS
12.1 Creator account consequences. Deleting a Creator account may remove the Creator’s Channel administration, listings, Creator settings, audience-management access, selling access, and other Creator functionality.
12.2 Existing buyer obligations. Creator account deletion does not automatically eliminate obligations to existing buyers, including delivery, purchased access, refunds, cancellations, payment disputes, chargebacks, professional obligations, taxes, or records that must lawfully remain.
12.3 Team Members. Deleting an individual Creator Team Member’s account does not delete the Creator entity’s account, records, transactions, or information that the Creator lawfully controls. The Creator remains responsible for removing or adjusting team permissions as required.
12.4 Creator records. Textority may retain Creator business, verification, transaction, tax, payout, dispute, fraud, or compliance records to the extent reasonably necessary and permitted or required by law or the governing terms.
13. PAYMENTS, PAYOUTS, TAXES, AND DISPUTES
13.1 Payment records. Account deletion does not require Textority to erase transaction records that must or may lawfully be retained for payment processing, refunds, reversals, Payment Disputes, chargebacks, accounting, taxes, fraud prevention, sanctions, or legal compliance.
13.2 Payment Providers. A Payment Provider, bank, issuer, payment network, payout provider, or other financial participant may retain information under its own legal obligations and privacy practices.
13.3 Creator balances and payouts. Deleting or closing a Creator account does not accelerate a Payout or cause pending, held, reserved, disputed, restricted, or otherwise unavailable Creator Proceeds to become immediately payable. Final balance treatment is governed by the Creator Payout Terms.
13.4 No forfeiture merely from deletion. Account deletion does not by itself cause Creator Proceeds validly attributable to a Creator to be forfeited, subject to valid fees, refunds, reversals, disputes, holds, reserves, taxes, sanctions, provider restrictions, and other lawful adjustments.
14. CHILDREN, TEEN USERS, AND GUARDIANS
14.1 Children under 13. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create accounts or use interactive Services intended for account holders. If Textority obtains actual knowledge that a child under 13 has an account or personal information within the scope of applicable child-privacy law, Textority will handle deletion and related information as required by that law.
14.2 Teen Users. A Teen User or the Teen User’s parent or legal guardian may request account deletion subject to the age, authorization, and verification framework in the Terms of Service and applicable law.
14.3 Guardian verification. Textority may require reasonable evidence of identity, guardianship, or authority before acting on a deletion request made for a minor.
15. U.S. PRIVACY RIGHTS
15.1 State-law rights. Where a U.S. state privacy law applies to Textority and the relevant processing, a User may have a statutory right to request deletion of covered personal information in addition to the account-deletion process described here.
15.2 Exceptions. State privacy laws may permit retention for reasons such as completing transactions, security and fraud prevention, legal compliance, internal uses permitted by law, and establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
15.3 Verification and response periods. Textority will apply the verification rules, response periods, extensions, notices, and appeal rights required by the state law that actually applies. The Textority Privacy Center / Your Privacy Choices provides additional information about those rights.
15.4 No threshold assumption. This Policy does not state that every comprehensive U.S. state privacy law applies to Textority merely because a resident of that state can use the Services.
16. COLOMBIA
16.1 Suppression and revocation. Where Colombia’s personal-data regime applies, a Titular may request suppression of personal data and, where legally available, revocation of authorization through the claim procedure described in the Textority Colombia Privacy Notice and Authorization.
16.2 Legal or contractual retention. A suppression or revocation request does not require deletion where the Titular has a legal or contractual duty to remain in the applicable database or another lawful basis requires continued retention.
16.3 Claim procedure. A Colombia deletion or suppression request is handled as a claim under the procedure and response period required by applicable Colombian law, including any legally permitted extension and notice.
16.4 Complaint to the SIC. Where Colombian law requires completion of the applicable consultation or claim procedure before a complaint to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio, the Titular should complete that procedure first.
17. SECURITY, SAFETY, AND ABUSE PREVENTION
17.1 Security records. Textority may retain limited records reasonably necessary to protect the Services and Users from account takeover, fraud, spam, impersonation, repeated abuse, or other security and integrity risks.
17.2 Safety and illegal-content records. Deletion does not require Textority to destroy information that applicable law requires Textority to report, preserve, or make available to an authorized authority, including covered child-safety or other legally mandated records.
17.3 No continued use for unrelated purposes. Information retained for security, legal, safety, or compliance purposes will not be treated as permission to continue using it for unrelated purposes inconsistent with the applicable retention basis.
18. COMPLETION OF DELETION
18.1 Processing time. Textority will process account-deletion and privacy-deletion requests within the period required by applicable law. Where no specific statutory period applies, Textority will process the request within a reasonable period based on verification, account complexity, pending obligations, and lawful retention needs.
18.2 Confirmation. Textority will provide any acknowledgment or completion notice required by applicable law and may also provide confirmation when account deletion has been completed or when the request has been completed to the extent legally and operationally possible.
18.3 Partial retention notice. If Textority denies or limits a statutory deletion request because an exception applies, Textority will provide any explanation, notice, or appeal information required by the applicable law.
18.4 Re-registration. Creating a new account after deletion does not restore a deleted account or create a right to recover a prior username, Channel, content, transaction state, or other deleted account information.
19. CHANGES AND CONTACT
19.1 Changes. Textority may update this Policy prospectively to reflect changes in law, product functionality, deletion methods, privacy practices, or operational requirements. Material changes will receive the notice required by applicable law.
19.2 Account deletion requests. To request deletion using the currently available public method, contact hello@textority.com and identify the request as an “Account Deletion Request.”
19.3 Privacy questions. For questions about privacy rights, specific-data deletion, or other privacy choices, review the Textority Privacy Policy and Textority Privacy Center / Your Privacy Choices or contact hello@textority.com.
